While not the most visually accomplished game, and not a light experience by any means, ANOPHTOS nevertheless works as a personal exploration of whatever the author was/is dealing with, and playing it asks us not only to interpret the meaning contained in the story, but also to possibly ask similar questions about ourselves.

A visually striking game with heavy symbolism that's likely to make you feel uneasy. It's a game of few words where interpretation is left open-ended. To me it evokes feelings of depression, alienation and grief.
Wow, I have played some dark games before, but this one could be the darkest yet. I take it to be some kind of dream world where insecurities are tangible. It is certainly something that is not easily forgotten!
This is a strange kind of confusing game, but it was still interesting to play.
This game features heavy symbolic gameplay. It's a journey through a tortured mind and will probably appeal mostly to horror fans or those interested in traumas or symbolism, or to play with others for the sake of discussing possible interpretations.
