"King's Quest IV Retold" is a point-and-click remake of the fourth chapter in Sierra's classic King's Quest series.
The game's story picks up immediately where "King's Quest III: To Heir Is Human" left off. As King Graham tosses his adventurer's cap to his children, he suffers a massive heart attack and is left on his death bed. It is up to his daughter, Princess Rosella, to retrieve a rare magic fruit that can heal her father, as well as save the land of Tamir from the evil fairy Lolotte along the way.
This remake introduces numerous improvements to the original game while staying faithful to its story and graphics, thus offering a new way to experience this classic adventure and making it more approachable for ne…w players.

I have a love-hate relationship with most Sierra games. This one is no exception. The tone can be dated, yet its free-roaming fantasy retains appeal and inventiveness. It is surprising how much fun one can still get out of it. That being said, I wouldn't consider replaying the orginal King's…

Absolutely adored the point and click system, the beautiful music, and the incredible effect sounds which I had not heard in the original. Loved playing this game tremendously, as it took me back to my childhood days as I played my first ever adventure RPG.
I absolutely loved playing this game which I first played when I was ten years old. It was the first RPG game that I ever played and playing it again take me right back to my childhood days. The point and click system, the beautiful music, and excellent sound effects made this a truly happy nostalgic experience! At first I thought it would have been great for colours to be in VGA instead of EGA, but somehow I feel that would have taken away some of the nostalgic magic. Great job to the developer! It's perfect!
The control is good but you lack one important thing. Your game still has the EGA dithering pass. If only you could move that one thing I would find it great.
This is a great improvement on the original, with point and click rather than text parser.
Hi, DrSlash. Do you have the source code of this game. How did you code the changes? Did you use scicompanion (http://scicompanion.com/)? Great remake! Thanks.
