The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

You are on your way to Bridgetown, a large and prosperous village on the northern shores of Lorden. There are four villages in all. One to the north, east, south and west points of the Isle. You have travelled South, from The Lore Lands across the river Yeatham, to hold council with Good King Aarion in his castle. He and his daughter, Princess Petal, command the four villages and the Isle of Lorden. Reaching the castle gate your trusty steed becomes suddenly spooked, obviously by a feeling only it can sense, and throws you, unceremoniously, from its back. You awake to find that you have no idea as to where you are or how you even ended up in this predicament.

AGS Panel Review

"A clean art style, along with an overall above-average execution, help this somewhat familiar tale."

7 people commented on this game (newest first):

I really enjoyed playing this game.
I have always been a fan of the Sierra Games and this paid homage to them.
Nicely drawn backgrounds and amusing dialogue.
I am looking forward to part 2.

Graphically pleasing, this is a very enjoyable game to play.

Take time to read the script because there is plenty of humerous dialogue.
I particularly liked the epitaphs on the gravestones.

Can't wait for Part 2 to be released.

Keep up the good work J-Soft.

A nice game, the most outstanding thing about it really was not so much the game itself, but the author's willingness to listen to people's feedback and update the game accordingly.

Witty dialog, wonderful graphics, fun! I had a good time playing this. I loved the Kings Quest vibe it had going on.
