I highly recommend taking one of the Haggis Adventures :D they are a backpackers tour company so it is rather loose and sponataneous, rather than the rigid bus tours by other companies. Not so much driving per day and there are many stops between destinations.
What makes it an adventure, is that you can only eat haggis and have to get the ingredients yourself?

Another way would have been to search for all *.txt files in the main dir using Windows' search window, then cut and paste them.
Yes, but in that way there is no puzzle. Afterwards you wouldn't really get that feel of accomplishment that you get after researching and solving a hard puzzle. ;D

If you type "help" in you'll find out what basic commands are available. Also "help for" will help you if you need to refresh your memory how the "for" command works. :)

Based on your previous post, I would like to ask about this.

All of my information and advice has come from physicist and nuclear expert Dr. Doug Rokke and british nuclear physicist Dr. Christopher Busby, who both agree that as long as the reactors remain open there remains a significant risk of dangerous radiation levels building up in the US and areas hit by the jet stream.
Can you clarify what is meant by reactors being open? I haven't stumbled upon any information about this, so I would like to know more about this.

Sadly, you can't really trust any 'official' channels on this as the Japan energy commission and president have obfuscated and minimized the severity of the situation since it began.  This includes the EPA, who has actually shut off 8 of their coastal radiation detectors without giving any real comment in spite of radioactive iodine being detected in Southern California and in the milk in Washington (one of the first things to show radiation is milk).
True. It's extremely difficult to find neutral information as all parties seem to be coloring the information according their own agenda.

I found a site with geiger meter readings from Tokyo. Mirror

So, Japan detonated a large (>100 megaton) thermonuclear device deep beneath the sea floor, to create an earthquake and tsunami. Then they use explosives to crack the reactor containments so that they would release radioactive material to air, hoping the winds would carry most of it to the North America. Sounds entirely plausible!

Well that is the exact pdf(source) that I was referring to. In the pdf values are in Bq/m3 and Bq/kg. Maybe she had some fancy formula to convert cubic meters to square meters and kilograms to square meters...

What do you mean web 2.0 aesthetic? The buttons don't even have round corners! ;D

I'm very interested in this project and am eagerly waiting for it to mature.

Here is an article from a site that would seem trustworthy at the first sight. The only problem is, that none of the radiation levels mentioned in the article are not found in the source that author claims to be using. The source doesn't even have any readings using the same units that are mentioned in the article. ;D

This is pretty much the quality of all the news I have read about the incident. Today I saw a headline saying "Fukushimas water radiation level is 4385 times above the limit." Nowhere in that article are any real figures or units mentioned, or even if that 4385 times above the limit is dangerous. Which I believe is not, because the limits are really low.

As for the Radiation, though, I'm yet to be convinced that we're all gonna die.  The interesting thing about the graph in the OP is that you can already see how much the radiation has dispersed.  I can't imagine those red blobs getting much bigger.
More interesting thing about the map in the OP is that the red blob there would be somewhere on the green area in the Chernobyl map that I posted. We didn't die in 1986 so why would we die now?

Couple of more interesting figures for the radiation dosage (exposure) chart on the first post:
- Smoking 1.5 packs/day: 13-60 mSv/year
- Background radiation in parts of Iran, India and Europe: 50 mSv/year

Which map are you referring Tuomas?
First map that I posted was created in response to the map below with the purpose to troll the Finnish internets (as the map below is for trolling the USA internets):

Many papers even printed this map, even though it is not created by Australian Radiation Services, like the logo suggests.

Second map I posted is 25 years from the past.

So you can stop eating your iodine pills like candy. ;)

Well, they still have more to leak if they want to reach the levels of Chernobyl. Here's a map with the same units used. (Although it should be marked as kBq not KBq.)

Your fallout map is inaccurate. This is the accurate version:

No wonder iodine pills are sold out in Finland.

ps. didn't we already have a thread about Japan?
pps. I also though this was about the video game.

Ahh.. Now I see the light. When creating a new project I have the choice between Visual Basic, C#, C++, etc. Hmm. Which one is the best/easiest format for creating a normal windows based program? I imagine Visual Basic?

Go C#. Visual basic is so far removed from most, more powerful languages that you end up reinventing the wheel.
Seconded. If only because the code will look pretty much the same as the script in AGS (C-like). :)

I'm not impressed. A four year old could do that! And actually has, in 1998, the same competition. ;D
Looks like prizes are plentiful. "Winners of the individual event in the World Poohsticks Championships receive a gold medal and a Winnie-the-Pooh teddy bear."

Always watch animes with JAPANESE. I mean yeah, sometimes the english dub is okay, but you're watching foreign cartoons, give em the respect they need. Plus Japanese are awesome to hear.
Agreed. And this is true for any tv/movie. Satan invented dubbing, if you watch with dubbing you are going to hell!

I don't really watch anime anymore, but I remember Serial Experiments Lain to be pretty cool, if a bit weird. Hmm... Noir and Hellsing (Ultimate).

I kind of wish the Edisons hadn't been blue, as this reflects the NES version of Maniac Mansion, but I think I understand why you went this direction. The best of luck with this!
This is something I have always pondered. ??? Why are they blue? Looking at the screenshots on MobyGames I see they changed them to blue in the enhanced version.

Something I'll recommend for 99% of AGS-made games: CHANGE THE DARN FONT! :)
Seconded. I hate the default font. Its readability isn't that great either.

It's called gas so that quality puns like in the fourth message of this thread could be made. ;D

Well you can use C++, VB.NET or C# with Visual Studio. I only have used Express editions, but I don't think they differ that much.

I have only used it for C# and am not very good with C++, so I don't know if I'm much help. But I just tried it with C++ and if you just want to draw a rectangle on the form, add a paint event for your form in form designer. Use the example code from MSDN documentation inside newly created method for the paint event. Now if you run it you'll have a blue rectangle starting from upper left corner with the size 200x200.

Could you clarify what programming language and edition of Visual Studio 2010 you use?
