Ok, I need to check if the mouse is above Hotspot1 when processing a mouse button click under a GUI.
I thought it would be easy but now I get the message :
   undefined symbol 'hHotspot1' on line 436.

Here is the code:

Code: ags
function Button1_OnClick(GUIControl *control, MouseButton button)
{
  if (Hotspot.GetAtScreenXY(mouse.x, mouse.y) == hHotspot1) {
cEgo.FaceLocation(mouse.x, mouse.y, eBlock);
cEgo.Say("A painting.");
mouse.SetBounds(0, 0, 0, 0);
gGui1.Visible=false;
gGui1.Transparency=50;
SetGlobalInt(1, 0);
return;
}
}

Maybe scripts 'under' this kind of functions don't reconize hotspots?
Should I use Globalints?
I'm using version 3.0
thanks in advance, I did search the forums but I didn't get what I need

Hello to all,

There is a conception of 'time' that we have learned to believe. That 'time' is like a river that constantly runs its direction and we live our lives along with that river. Actually there is no river, we mark past events and therefore believe 'time' is passing.
'Time' is a collective thought, a human collective thought. On a microscopic level, the notion of 'time' would be impossible to assimilate by us, such are the random events that occur.  On a gigantic level, the notion of 'time' would crumble into bits at the same time we would inhale huge amounts of oxigen, walk large distances in seconds, eat amazing amounts of food, etc...
'Time' as we know it, is just a developing stage of our brains, if our brains are still developing. Studies indicate that large growing civilizations tend to lose their culture and inteligence levels as they absorb other cultures and at the same time corrupt their own.

All you screenshots look very good, very professional. It must take you some time getting to that perfection of lines, perspective and color choice.
Keep it up! :)

It's ok,
I just wanted that this all thing would mean something, and that, in the future, people will coment with a bit of moderation.
It's not that you're wrong and I'm right, maybe we are wasting everybody's time!
But I would be happy if we all learned something from this.
There is no need for a moderator to delete the coment, maybe you could add another one explaining why you wrote the first one.
I hope this ends here and I wish you (TassieDevil) all the best.

Ooooops, sorry TwinMoon, I guess you're right.

Well, the perspective is wrong, the floor looks like a towel and the objects size and perspective don't match.
So, why do I like it? Because, somehow it works well, it does suit it's purpouse.
I have played Dualnames demo and really like the concept of it.
Also his choice of colors set me on a mood witch relaxes me and makes my brain work.
It's like a dream world. Or acid.

*lol* Awww...okay, honestly, if the bunny's eyes are going to go all creepy white and he's going to grin like that at me, I would kick him away, too.  Hooray for the purple-shorted man!

Thanks for the entry, Miguel. :)

Your Welcome!
Somebody had to start this! The theme was pretty good, you can see how people get really excited killing cute pink bunnys!
The bunny from Th3 Aw350m3 is a classic!

I love TassieDevil.
Honestly.

Hi guys,
TassieDevil, I have PM to you because I didn't like the way you've comented my game.
I did not make a thread about it.
To everybody that is interested here is my full PM( something TassieDevil should have done):
"
Hi there, I just want to thank you for the kind words you left attached to my game.
Now everytime somebody wants to get more info and or see the votes about the game, gets to see what you think about it.
You see, you have the right to do it, but if everybody did what you did, AGS free games would not be so downloaded. And that is the only reward we get for doing games  for you to play.
There are places at the forum to place critics where everybody can see what you think about other people work.
If you leave a coment then please at least vote and support what you said.
I hope my following games will please you, sir."

Now, you may think I am not right and some even wrote that I was acting like a baby, and that I acept, I don't mind critics but there is a place for them. I see games and donwload them with very poor quality but I never put people down even if it's obvious their work is bad.
I had lots of bad critics when the game was in production and I acepted them all, no problem.
The thing is, placing a post that is going to forever be attached with your game and do not support it with strong reasons is just not fair.

To all I apologize, as I did to TassieDevil if you read the PM destined to him.

Alliance: you will learn, with age ( your 17, right?) that insulting people will not give you any respect.

RyanTim, Progzmax, Mash, Dual: thanks, I really would prefer constructive criticism but also know sometimes there is no time to do it, so I don't do it if I can't do it right. And I didn't start this thread or did I complain to anybody, I only PM Tassie because I didn't agree with him.
I hope this settles it.

I learned to love this community of people,
even when I only came to the forums and read the posts it felt good to know that the same people were still around.  For me it's a thrill when some good game is released or some cool module is developed, it means the genre and the love for the game is on!
Also, it's a honour to be next to so many brilliant people.
I did a crapy game in 2003 that had a save/restore problem (v.2.6, I guess) and I recently did another crapy game that is ok to save/restore.
Overall I am very happy to be here and wish you all the best.
And I kneel to Pumaman, of course.

That's me and my son, Francisco.
