Hi,

Yesterday I tried running KQ3 on my Macbook Pro via Parallels Desktop. Earlier I've tried running it on my iMac G5 via M$'s Virtual PC. In both cases the games boot, and the window updates correctly, as long as I keep the focus on the window by keeping my mousebutton down.

Somehow it worked for normally, for one go, yesterday. But I haven't been able to get it working normally since. Other, non-AGS games, that don't need hardware acceleration wrk normally.

Is this a known issue, and does anyone have an idea why it suddenly worked and now doesn't?

Thank,
JWar

Solution
After typing this, I got an idea and set the Windows screendepth to 16bit. Now it works.

Thanks for the great replies everyone. I'm not doing these designs myself, as this is not the field where my talents lie. I put these great designs here to get some third-party opinions and have passed them on to the designer.

She has taken all your suggestions into account and we're looking at further tweakings in the design right now. I'll post further progress as we reach milestones.

Once again, thanks for the great replies.

I always imagine Vetinari as being somewhat like Machiavelli. Here's a reference picture of Machiavelli's statue in Florence.

Bernie, you just made my day. I downloaded this gem this morning and managed to loose a whole morning worth of worktime playing it. It is truelly awesome. It had be run upstairs to get my girlfriend and itching to call my parents, all of which are avid old-school adventure game players. As has been said before, you've managed to capture the exact feeling that got me into this genre so many years ago.

Also, I played it on my mac with the ags mac port and it worked without a hitch.

Hello there,

I believe the time of busy flashy posters has gone by, the current trend is more towards the sober less is more approach, so try to keep that in mind.

Also, you're making a flyer for a company or organisation that has a welldefined 'house-style', which you should use to your benefit. People will recognise the poster easier if you adhere to this style. If, for example, you made a poster for orange, all you have to do is create a quality photograph, shift is to black and white and highlight with bright orange to get across that it's for orange.

Edit: The example wasn't respresentative for my usual quality, so I decided to remove it.
