Well, I'm finished my character art and such, so here's the backstory:

Around the year 2015, a huge, horrible epedemic disease swept through humanity. Those who were not infected were immunized, and those that managed to survive for a couple of days were given a new medicine. However, both of the substances had the unfortunate and unforeseen side effect of turning everyone who took it into zombies five years later.

EDIT: As you may expect, it won't be a particularly serious game.

It goes a long way towards making you a Japan nerd. Seriously, buddy, there's plenty of anime here, and in a language you can understand to boot. The only real reasons to go to Japan are the vending machines that contain beer and porn.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Character improperly sized

Basically, my problem is that my character is way too small in the game - yes, smaller than his sprites. The sprites are about 40 pixels tall; in the game, the character is no more than 15 tall. It's a 320x200 game, and when I click on the sprite in the sprite manager, it says that it was made for 640x400. I tried re-importing all the sprites with the "import for 640x400" button checked, but it didn't work. I'd really rather keep my game 320x200. A bit of help?

Well, I've looked through it all, and I have discovered the biggest award-related travesty since my two-sentence essay didn't win the She Inspires Me writing contest.

You've got me there. The real reason I've been away a lot lately is that I've been in negotiations with Microsoft, and they have now agreed to buy AGS for $10,000. They're now employing me to add all these 3D features to 2.7, but have also banned me from creating a Mac port and said that the Linux and DOS ports must be removed.

Whoa. That's news to me. So what's going to happen to all of us and the forums, the site, etc? I mean, since you're selling AGS to Microsoft, does that mean that you no longer have any rights to it?

Basically, I just wanna know what lies ahead. What's happening with AGS and Microsoft isn't a bad thing, is it? (...that's a stupid question)

EDIT: I don't know, $10,000 for AGS doesn't sound like much, in my humble opinion... AGS is the last, what, 9 years of your life? Eh, I guess I shouldn't be talking, I mean, you created AGS, it's yours to do with as you please.

So is it just going to be computer program, or am I going to be making games on my X-box one day?

Isn't Mike Macdonald Canadian? I didn't know he was on one of those shows...

For me, there are just way too many to list... although the Royal Canadian Air Farce sketch about the young Scottish shepherd named Macintosh who had fallen in love with the girl whose initials were IBM will always make me chuckle when I think about it.
