Hey there!

To get right to it: I basically want to make a speech GUI which behaves just like in Leisure Suit Larry 6.

What would be the best way of doing this? Would i have to make a complete new GUI (Non-text window) and seperate the portrait from it?

Thankies in advance,
Dhel <3

Hey there!

Is it possible to give the "interact" cursormode another mode in addition to interacting?
Think "Mixed-Up Fairy Tales" by Sierra. You had one "interact" cursor, and also whereever you clicked, your character would move.

Project:
The Sedgemarch Files: Fairytale Killer.

Details:
Autumn 1992. Sedgemarch is shaken by a row of violent murders. The killer aims for children, placing their bodies in abstract fairytale scenes. You are Nicolas Hoffman, captain of the special team, and together with your second in command, Walter Stone, your job is to solve the case and riddles of the “Fairytale Killer”.

Positions Available:
We will need an artist for the backgrounds. As the game runs at an 1024x768 resolution, we would love to have some good high-res backgrounds for it. This also includes the objects that are in the scene, so it would be nice if that's also possible :) When you apply, it would be great if you could send along some previous work you've done!

Deadline:
We're hoping to have the game finished sometime around Summer/Autumn 2013.

Comments:
In case you're interested or got more questions, feel free to drop me a PM!
Right now, we're a team of 3 people. We have the script 100% done and we started writing the dialogues . We sadly don't have any concept art for the backgrounds, so you can bring in your own ideas! We're always open for new ideas :) Neither of us has made a game before, but we thought “why the hell not!”. We're incredibly excited about this, so we want to make the absolute best game we could possibly do!
