I really like your art style Gribbler. Looks amazing!

I draw all my backgrounds and the sprites with the ASEprite editor by using the mouse. I've got a tablet, but I don't like it.
My BGs look kind of weird cause I'm a freestyler:  :-D
First I start with a sketch (by using the editor)
Then I search for the right colors in the RPG palette and start to draw

It is still not finish as you can see here:

320x240 true color

... I use the blur tool for the edges and the jumble tool for the finish... With the ASE you can also scale to index colors with/without dithering

I use the ASEprite by Allegro (for backgrounds and short animations) and the Autodesk Animator. These are really oldschool tools, but they work very well.

I played the Demo which is really cool... You did a great job! Much respect.

I like the ordered dithering of your graphics. Gives the game a cool 80s touch. Which editor do you use for the graphics? I use the ASEprite by Allegro.

"Tales from Siphara" (Veins of corruption) begins with the player's character (a small-time crook who has a good knowledge in Alchemy and cartography), having been imprisoned, arriving in Atar'Mur by boat in order to be pardoned by  the "Bergvogt" (the Earl of Atar'Mur and the mines proprietor) who needs a cartographer for the mines .The story takes place on Atar'Mur, a peninsular  in the  province of Siphara, which is far from the more civilized lands isolated by the mountainous massif in the North. The ways through the mountains are buried and evil forces deep inside the mines seems  to seize hold of the inhabitants of Atar'Mur.

So it's up to you to explore the caves and the rough land of Atar'Mur to probe the causes of the mystical things.

May you find a way through the mountains to  help the civilisation of Atar'Mur to escape from their utter solitude and usher in a new era of freedom.

Sorry for my bad English :-D The whole story and the dialogs will be translated by a professional translator.

Hi AGS community

I want to introduce you my AGS-Game (Tales from Siphara)

It is a two man project. My brother wrote the whole story and the dialogs and I make all the backgrounds, animations, characters, scripting, GUIs etc.
It is a lot of work, so we'll release the game not until 2017. (German version)

I know my English is really bad. Don't worry, We are looking for a professional translator. :-D
