Hmmmm...looking at the screenshots and hearing the Hitchcock-inspired thing:

Notes to self while playing:

* Don't shower at the motel!
* Avoid the crow!

Looks amazing! Can't wait to play this one!

Yes I would highly recommend doing neither! Thanks Mandle.

Yes I can confirm the screenshots and gameplay video are taken from the AGS version of the game NOT the Stencyl version.

Having used AGS for a few years I understand that this is obviously an AGS only forum but I also believe this website is also about a true genuine love of adventure games no matter what platform they are on. My only reason for mentioning the iOS version is because I believe that adventure games can reach an even wider audience by utilising the app store which is severely lacking in point n click adventures.

Even though this game is also being developed through Stencyl it is an AGS at heart and if it wasn't for AGS this game would never of been made in the first place.

Well I have been creating this game in both AGS and Stencyl to be exact, the PC release will probably be the AGS version and the iPhone/iPad the Stencyl version.

I think it's still AGS he's just using the port. Regardless the game looks incredible, right up my alley. Any plans for a PC release though?

Thanks Armageddon, yes sorry I forgot to mention that I am looking to also release this on PC after it goes up on the app store (within the next 2 weeks). I have had to try and keep the file size down for iPhone/iPad release so I might consider adding in a few extra's for the pc version. ideally voice acting would be top of the list.

I have basically taken everything I created in AGS and re-coded it into a program called Stencyl which then allows me to publish direct to the app store.

Hello all,

I decided that I wasn't happy with the overall look of the game and decided to re-do all the graphics and add lots more animations such as animated grass, fog, wildlife etc to give the game a more realistic and haunting atmosphere.

The Games is now available for Android and soon available for iOS, I am still working on the AGS version which will hopefully also be available soon.

Google Play link

About The Silence:
The game is set in the style of a Hitchcock movie and despite being a big Hitchcock fan I still re-watched a lot of his movies to help create the feel for this game. The game also includes lots of not so obvious Hitchcock references.

Story:
You wake up in a cheap motel room with no recollection of who you are or how you got there. You soon come to realise that everyone has disappeared and that you are completely alone. It is unto you to discover your identity and find out why everyone has vanished.

Features:
-Realistic animations on characters and animals.
-High quality orchestral soundtrack.
-Original Hitchcock inspired story.

Game completion progress:
PC: 90%
iOS: 100%
Android: 100%

Yes pretty much, I'm currently making another game "The Calm" so all my time is being put into that currently. I can add animations/screens etc though if needed for this to help out.
If anyone decided to take this on they are free to change whatever they want that Ive already added.

This is a project I was working on a while ago but just haven't had the time to continue so I am looking forward to someone who might want to take it on.
The game was inspired by the film Paranormal Activity which I thought would make a cool game.
The game is set in a house which you spend the game viewing through a camera viewfinder in nightvision. I have already created all the rooms for the game and scripting which lets you walk around the house, also I have finished scripting about 15% of the puzzles. Some sound has been added such as rain/thunder outside, character breathing, doors opening etc.

The story is about a paranormal detective who is investigating a haunted house, about 12 months ago a girl was possessed and then exorcised in the house and died as a result, but the family despite still being grief stricken have given you permission to spend a few nights there as they have been condemned in the press for being liars and just after publicity etc and they want proof they where telling the truth which hopefully you can provide, (all this can be developed or changed.)
You always stream your investigations live through your website so the public can watch and leave comments which might also lead to clues or tips during your investigation.
The house is haunted by both the girl & the evil spirit that possessed her so your job is to get as much proof as possible over the course of 3 nights, of course the evil spirit isn't going to let you leave that easily, instead seeing you as a body to possess.

Please get in touch if this project is something that might interest you!
(666th post in this section which is a spooky coincidence!)

Looks good. I just hope that the player character walks a bit quicker than that animation...
haha yeah it could take a while to get around the map walking that slow. For some reason the animations are running really slow when i uploaded them, they run a lot faster and smoother in the actual game.

sounds interesting and looks good.
If the thing inspired you I might have an idea what caused the loss of contact... ;)
Well the idea I have at the moment is another mysterious research facility 10 miles away run by the Russians, they have basically opened some kind of ancient doorway possibly directly to hell and somethings come out of it. This something rather than attacking you directly instead makes all your worst nightmares come true, for example maybe a monster you feared on TV as a child or a very bad memory from your life. The game will put you in a lot of strange and hopefully scary situations which you have to figure a way out of whilst your slowly going insane.

But Im definitely open to suggestions and ideas!

The Calm

Hey everyone, this is my first post here in the forums, and even though its still in very early development, I thought I would post my new game up here.
This game is a supernatural thriller and I have been influenced by many films such as The Thing, The forbidden Planet etc, so I am aiming to give the game a movie like feel and atmosphere, the story is still being changed and developed so unable to give many details about plot at the moment though I do have a pretty good idea where I want to go with it.

Story:
Date: 2015, October 16th
*
In 2012 British funded research corporation Rothera set up a small one man research facility on Antarctica code-named Project Barrow.
*
The primary goal of Project Barrow is to identify the effect of climate change within the region.
*
A new scientist is deployed to the project once every 3 months.
*
Contact was recently lost with the current scientist assigned to the facility.
*
Being next in line for assignment you have been chosen to investigate Project Barrow and re-establish contact with the scientist.
*
Due to the coming winter if the scientist cannot be located and relieved within 24 hours then you are to resume operation of the facility until
the next switch over in 3 months.

Features:
Chilling atmosphere.
Very large Arctic map to explore.
Animated snow.
