I used many tag editors and many of them didn't suit me because of their lack of functionality. mp3Tag Pro is the best program for me. But it's only my opinion.

Personally I use a program called MIDI Converter Studio that helps me convert files with soundfonts. There is a pretty good tutorial on How to convert MIDI to MP3, it has detailed instructions. I hope that my advise will help you.

I can only recommend you free online services like solmire.com. But my internet connection is no good for converting a bunch of midis. So I use commercial MIDI Converter Studio.
