[imgzoom]https://files.catbox.moe/2hf16w.png[/imgzoom] The inspirational image suggested to make a tile set background.
Tiles made with the gimp, layout with Tiled.

This is Castello Filla Compo near the Baglorian Sea. There is a small dock on the base of the rock on which the Castello is built, but it is not shown in this image.

Looks good to me. As a player I actually don't want the character's stair climbing speed to be too realistic. It would be annoying to have to wait even longer for the character to reach the top of the stairs.

The pedestal could be more prominent by reaching to or above the horizon, which would be somewhat lower.[imgzoom]https://files.catbox.moe/ew9rui.png[/imgzoom]

General Discussion / Re: CRT TV

There can be high voltages in some of the components even for a long time after the TV had been disconnected from the power socket. Good luck!

We just vote and someone neutral declares a winner in a few days?
Voting until 10. December?
Yes, please. (nod)

Will this go forth though Jack has been banned? The uncertainty is unbearable. :-X

It's not worse than the previous episode which was very good.
Though there might be another bug:
Spoiler
Geoff is not visible in the church hall and his cigarette pack therefore drops out of nowhere.

Engine Development / Re: AGS engine Linux port

Cor blimey! Indeed, this works.
The system's libdumb is 0.9.3 while the libdumb in ags source is 0.9.2.

Ok, the background and character graphics look very nice, the music is formidable, but you should work over the walking animation of the hero a little bit, because it looks more like he is gliding over the ground in goose step.
I did a quick search for a video tutorial and found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QTCwiJUmmo which seems not too bad.

I am not a lawyer: In some regions it would clearly fulfill that claim in other regions it would "only" be assault, kidnapping and torture.
To finish the game you have to:
Spoiler

* kiss the girl
* stun her with the chloroform soaked sock
* tie her down with the duct tape
* lock her in the chest in the basement

Sensitive people should probably not play this, especially those who got very agitated in the Best Movie by Hitchcock? thread.
So, I wonder: It is a point and click adventure game, but what's the point?

It's after the voting deadline, so these votes should not count and are for informal purpose only.
Concept: kaizen101 - The idea of presenting the in-freezer-scene looks refreshingly novel to me.
Playability: TGames - There's a treasure chest and a rope, both good plot devices in adventure games.
Artistic merit: TGames - It is not rendered nor a vector painting, so it must be the best of the entries.

No.

I hate this graphic style. The sight of those arcs and splines makes me sick. It looks like a draughtsperson had a stab at doing artsy design or even worse: Those icons could be generated by a trained AI. This is indefinitely more abhorrent than ham-fisted dilettantes using Paint with a flaky mouse.

But this is my personal opinion. If you like this style, go for it!

>does it looks hard or easy enough [?]
Functionally it looks like the standard role playing game battle mode interface. So, yes it is easy enough.
