I have chosen to use AGS as a videogame engine because I learned that it is possible to create a 2D fighting side-scrolling game with it. I'm still looking for that code but also, to test the game, I want to use characters from a different game. In the end, I do not want to use a commercial sprite to be in the final game (only used as a test subject). I don't know where to find a sprite creator either. I'll keep looking but if anyone has any way they can help, it would be appreciated.

This isn't my first time using AGS either but I'm still a noob with this version. Sorry.

AGS is not the good choice for that kind of a game, especially if you are a beginner in game making. AGS is primarily purposed for the classic point-and-click adventure games, not arcades. While it is possible to make any game genre with it, but arcades will require more effort and manual work, and eventually loose more time on it than you'd use to make it in a more suitable engine.

Hi

Crimson Wizard is right. I suggest you try GDevelop5 or similar software to create a game like that.

You are always welcome to try out AGS.

Happy coding.   ;)

Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.
