I'm sorry to say that I will have to be passing on this years Mittens. <sigh>

I really wanted to come, but we are saving up for our house coming up soon, and ScubaChic gave me the ultimatum of either a new computer, or a trip to France; not both.

Well, I like you all fine and all, but my pr0n box loves me back.

I mean, perhaps next year all. That, or Brittens.

Well, I dug out my bicycle from the cellar for the summer. I have basically two options. I spend money on getting it fixed and start riding towards France right now, or forget about Mittens. I'd so love to come, but I'm afraid the industry doesn't pay quite as much as I would like

Alright...I think we need to consolidate some of our traveling arrangements. Its much easier to get a flight to CDG airport...and then from there, a group of us can take a train, or rent a car, and travel on to Paris and then from Paris East to Vireaux...our destination. So we should all agree to get to CDG at a certain time and commute together to the destination. Anyone up for that?

For people who are driving to the chÃ¢teau, PM me and I'll provide you with the exact address. Otherwise you're best off getting to Vireux by train then we'll try to organise people to be shuttles from Vireux to the chÃ¢teau (it's only a few km apparently).

Okay, it's about 6 weeks until 06 June now, and that's when the entire cost of the chÃ¢teau needs to be paid. If there's anyone who has decided to drop out, please let me know, and if you haven't paid yet, please do soon!

I've looked at some flights and I'm not sure what would be preferable for getting to the chateau. Going to the main airport in Brussels is rather cheap for me, departing from Gothenburg, only 1500 sek. But from what I've heard it's difficult to get from there to Vireux. I suppose it might be easy to go to the main Brussels airport and on to Charleroi and from there to Vireux. Anyone have more info on this?

Getting to Charleroi using RyanAir is a mess, I'd have to go to Glasgow or something and from there to Charleroi and I'd have to spend a night in Glasgow if I chose that option.

Oh, I'll pay before this weekend then.

I don't know how I will get there but I always end up where I'm supposed to be when I travel somewhere, and I seldom plan stuff very much, but it would be cool if we could meet up before, Chrille. Like the good old days...

Whether I fly to Brussels or Paris doesn't really matter, either way I'll probably hang out there for a day or two since I know people in both cities, so I guess I could meet up with the Americans at CDG whenever they arrive.

I've considered going to Brussels for a day or so earlier. I've not been to either Paris or Brussels, but I figure one day might be enough in Brussels while I'd rather spend a few more if I went to Paris.

I'm flying into Barcelona and meeting up with Nacho and Lore and we're driving to Paris ... if we time it right we could have a pre-Mittens meeting in Paris! Then head out to Mittens.

I'm super excited to FINALLY learn what Mittens actually means! Oh ... and to meet the rest of you too of course

Quintaros and I will be shacking up in Montmartre as of the 12th if I recall correctly, and are up for all kinds of shenanigans. One warning though, in Paris if anyone offers you a ride on a centaur, don't believe them. It is just a crappy Seine tour -_-

Count me in! I also voted for rance, so it would be the right thing to come as well. I'm also quite curious about experiencing Mittens (at least once).

I have a car, so I should be able to pick people up from the airport. But: due to an accident I had 2 years ago, I'm not allowed to drive at the moment ( :o no it wasn't a car-accident, it was a motorbike one) and it is taking quite a while to regain permission to drive again. :'(sss

Is there still place for me? I won't snend money (by Paypal or any other means) until that's confirmed, but I'll pay up as soon as I have the confirmation. I promise.
