Which Fatman is better?

I think they're both drawn very well, but what would be funny to me would be to see him trying to fit into tights far too small for him, something between the two.  This is a really quick edit to give you an idea of what I mean.  Also, didn't Fatman have a round butt chin in the original?

i like both of them. here is my opinon:

i wouldn't go w/ the one on the right at all becuase he's not fat enough.

So, if i had to pick then it'd be the one on the left, however, I think he may be a bit too fat.  I think it'd be better if you made a happy medium - something in between those two.

Now about the arms - the original "chicken" one leaves me with impression of a ridiculous fat guy who ic wearing a costume for some convention.

The edit with longer arms looks more like a superhero with some more weight on. I would go with that one if you want him to do some serious "superheroing". If you want him more (much more) on the funnier side, go with the chicken arms.

Yes, the fat one definitely. Also I prefer him with those superhero arms. Also I like the jaw on progzmax edit.

I think, like everyone else, that if you're going to have a superhero called fatman, he should really be grotesquely obese - otherwise it's lacking in the real shock value I think it should have. Now, I would find it pretty entertaining if that yellow utility belt was holding in some of his flab at the beginning of the game, exploded and left him the enormous version of himself in the left image, assuming you're looking to use some visual/slapstick sort of comedy (I know that I, being a big dude myself, use the ol' "tighten the belt to appear slightly thinner" technique).

I do think the bum-chin looks good, or something that isn't quite as zig-zaggy on his face. However, I'd like to see some talking animation to know for sure. But that does remind me - if he's fat, shouldn't he have a double chin (at least)?

I'm giving Mike a hand on Fatman 2 art-wise.

So far, that in-between mix with the butt-chin is most popular.

(Kinda like an updated version of his original model)

I agree, I think this is what we'll go with. The fat Fatman with long arms and the butt chin. BTW Morgan aka BrainofDOOM will be doing all the background artworks and animations.

Hey, did you know that Fatman had a precursor, long time ago?

In a Czech comics from 1992 'Tajemstvi cerneho brouka' (Secret of the Black Beetle) there was a "superhero" called Bantam.. a fat Batman of sorts.


'I'm not a man, but a superhero. But I went bankrupt as a superhero. So now I'm working here as a janitor.'
