Tell me if you like my game, I've been working on in for the last few days, so it's new in production but i need some opinions.

Especially monkey island fans (even though all are welcome), because i want to know there opinions of the SECRET of monkey island.

Well, it's difficult to say. But by the tradition, CL is used for a pieces of game, like one background, or a sprite or a piece of music.

When you make a post in "Games in production", you'll get many opinions anyway, varying from "Good work, waiting for it" or "Total crap, don't steal graphics", so, thinking about it... that's probably what the GIP forum is for.

Not here.

Thats what it said in the Games in Production Rules, so thats why i posted in here.

But i can't say much because i don't know what the C&C stand for, Command and Conquer prehaps?

Crits:

-Well, I get an error that room6.crm is not found, after some of the demo.
-the dialougue is not always in MI style. The characters should not use slang, and spelling needs to be checked
-I was bored by the long credits sequence-- If you "run out of things to say", then stop talking!
-(picky) Is Guybrush's walkcycle missing a frame? It looks kind of weird

I think there's no sense to have two threads about the same game. And C&C means critics & comments (as far as I know). I'm going to try this out later.

Spelling definitely needs to be checked, and text needs to be skippable. I read way faster than that!

You're also getting 'your' and 'you're' mixed up a lot.

All in all the story does confuse me a lot.

Download the game as I write. I can see a misspelling in the first screenshot. It should be "I'd better find Elaine." More crits coming as soon as I play through the demo.

Changes:
Fixed mom talking sprites
Fixed Guybrush giving/pickingup/showing sprite (shows elaine e ticket)
Can skip most text using any key not mouse
Can skip Intro after the Monkey Island Title has appeared
Characters now turn when talking (looks better)
Fixed Spelling (what i could find, a lot of lower cased i's)
Added some more music
Changed the text colour to suite characters (If anyone knows a better text colour for chuckie please tell me and the numbers)


If you have downloaded it already, there no point downloading it again just yet (unless your got a fast cconnection and time), cause there is no new rooms, so same stuff but looks better.


As for Guybrush Sprites, i used the ones that come with MI 2 Template, i am going to make my own when i can, cause i can see when he talks his neck goes over his clothes.

But for now i got to  enjoy the sun while its here, chow!

I let my brother play it and he found loads of spelling mistakes.

Correcting them as i speak (type).
