Maniac Mansion Deluxe Questions

I have many questions about Maniac Mansion deluxe:
1): How many different endings are there?
2): Can you get debug mode on this?
3): What does green tentacle do when you give him the tentacle mating tape. I know he kills you but why?
4): Is there any way to get Edna to befriend you like Weird Ed does?

1: I think there were around 4 endings in the original. So I guess they're the same in Deluxe as well.
2: I dunno.
3: Maybe because you copied his music without his permission?
4: Nope.

Well, thanks for the answers. But I meant the tape that shatters the chandelier. If you give it to Green Tentacle he thinks its a demo tape and plays it. Then he says "The Tentacle Mating Tape!" and then walks over to you. Next thing you know, you are a tombstone on the front lawn.
I have a couple more questions:
5): Can you feed the turkey, the tentacle chowe and other stuff to the man eating plant?
6): How come the Edison family portrait in the den is as they appear on the back of the original box. However, in the Enhanced version its the Edisons(and green tentacle) as they appear in the game
7): Is their any other way to distract Nurse Edna besides getting her to send you to the dungeon and getting Bernard/Jeff to fix the phone and use it?

You die from some extreme mating with a tentacle. Its mating gone wrong. Humans can't handle the nature of mating with a tentacle.... It's a joke.

1) not counting dying or exploding the house, there's four different ways to deal with the meteor (by police, by edsel, by plant or by contract). There's three different ways to get into the lab (by green, by police or by ed).
