Fantastic work! I especially like the clouds and rain, which adds a lot to the atmosphere of this image.

Gemmalah

woah, that looks good, could be a  picture from a comic.
what is the girl doing with her arms by the way?
i like the way you cannot see all of thecreature, leaves more to the imagination, and everyone will imagine the most scary thing to them!
Dragon Slayers demo finally finishedGet it here!

That´s amazing!!!

I wish I could draw characters like that.

Keep up the good work!!

What´s the technique BTW?

DodgeR

Cheers all 8)

Gemmalah: the girl has got her arms wrapped around the dudes arm as he pushes her back, i know it isnt fully clear:/

Jaz: The technique is pencil sketch, scanned and coloured in opencanvas.  i did a tut on my last piece maybe i will on this too:)

DodgeR

Another piece i have done recently:)

:o Whoa, those two are some of the best works of art I've seen in a while! The secind one especiially. yes, please make a tut. Also, can you link to your other tutorial? thanks :)

The more I try to be picky and look for things to criticize, the more perfect it seems :D Once again, Great work!

Cerulean

One thing I could suggest is to tone down the woman's lipstick to a more realistic shade. I'm not saying she can't wear orange lipstick, but given the lighting it seems like her lips are made of hot iron and giving off light of their own.

Ginny W: Thanks, dont have time at the mo to put a tut together just yet but i will soon:)
in the mean time heres a link to my last post here with tut :-

Cerulean: Yeh i had a comment on this from someone else too, its gonna be ammended:)

and another quick recent sketch in oc

Evil

Wow, they seem to look better every time. I wouldnt mind seeing a coloring tutorial. The smoothness of the coloring looks amazing. Almost like pastels.

jason

These are all very awesome. My favorite is the second one of the alien with the purple face. I love the pose and, in my opinion, it's very reminiscent of Jack Kirby's style.

The third one's art and coloring are fantastic, but I'm not liking the pose too much. It kinda seems like his gun weighs so much that all of his weight is shifted towards that side of his body and he's using all of his strength, as well as his other hand, to keep the gun up. I hope you get what I mean.

Regardless, these drawings are beautiful. Great job man.

DodgeR

Evil:  Cheers, i will do a colour tut for this style soon but open canvas does some of the work for you by acting more like a natural media, thats where some of the smoothness comes from.

Jason: Thanks, Jack Kirby havent heard of him but ill be sure to check his work out sometime soon.  Yeh that is a good point, it does look like the gun weighs too much i was trying to make it look like he was aiming from the hip ala western movie style.

Thanks for all the comments so far everyone 8)

Nice composition, I love the colours. Maybe a bit more contrast could improve it, I'm not sure.
