5 Days a stranger help please!

Hi. I'm having trouble with 5 Days a Stranger. I'm on day 2 and I've talked to Philip about what he's doing etc. I've gone to the library and looked at the book with the plans of the house but how do I show Philip it?

actually I dont know if I read it, all I did was look at it. How do you read things?

First pick up a book from the shelf.  Then you just open up your inventory and use LOOK on it (or right click it).

Hmmm...I've gotten stuck on 5 Days. When I look around the bookcase, I can find the book but not the map. Assistance would be helpful.

yeh you look to the left of the bookcase and theres two yellow books i think and thats the map! but i cant break into the wall the bear says straight down but where on the wall do i  use the pick-axe?
