Okay, so I saw a similar topic to this here, and figured I'd add my own, in case someone might be able to help preserve my sanity.

It's been driving me nuts for years now. There was this interesting game I played when I was younger for the PC.  I can't place even WHEN I played it anymore, but it was sometime between, like 1989 and 1994.

My memory of the game is fuzzy... very fuzzy... so if some of the info here is off, don't be surprised. I remember that you were an alchemist or wizard of some sort, and there were different ingredients that you could mix up to make potions that would have various properties. Now, it seems to me that you were making these potions to be used on a dragon that you were trying to grow, possibly from since it was an egg. Different combinations of potions would grant our dragon different stats and powers (and colours, possibly, too). I think the gragon would hatch and grow eventually, but I forget why you were doing any of this... there's this hazy vague feeling I have that you were supposed to use it as a weapon against your enemies or something, but I'm totally not sure.

I also remember that you had to do a lot of looking at the game's manual to get the potion-mixing part of things right. Most of this stuff was done by clicking icons and menus on the screen and stuff, if I remember right. If it helps any, I also seem to recall that the colour pallette of the game was fairly muted and dull.

I never did quite figure out what to do in the game very well, and had played it at a friend's house. He eventually gave it away or sold it or otherwise lost it, and can't remember the name of it either. The game, as I remember it SEEMED like it could have been very cool, but it was slow, frustrating and a bit boring when we couldn't really figure out how the game worked very well.

Keep in mind that I was young and pathetic, and that the game wasn't mine. I'D have played it more had I owned it, but was at the mercy of my friend's low hard drive space and his desire to play more exciting games.

Does ANY of this sound even vaguely familiar to anyone? Is there anyone with ANY idea of what this game is and what it could be called? If you know ANYTHING that might be able to aid me in my quest to find out what the heck this game is, I would be ever greatful.

Er, King's Quest III? No, probably not.

HAHAHA! This is hilarious, after reading the first post it reminded me of a game I played once at a friends house and I wanted to know the name of it, so I thought of posting in here asking for help myself...

But first I click on YOke's link and then on another link in the "If you like this game..." links and

Usually I only manage to get a supercombo when I press random buttons! :)

Anyway... Glad to be of help!

Ahhhh... Dragon's Breath, I used to have that for my old Atari. Ooooh, the nostalgia! Shame I never really got to play it much. Lost the manual for it, when we moved house. Stupid bloody copy-protection.
