That is so crazy cheesy....My understanding of hypnotism is that it takes a while and must be voluntary....But anything is possible I guess...

I don't believe it. There must be a process to hypnotize someone, not just stablishing a visual link and... Pop! My bet:

a) Urban myth.
b) Of those 40,000 $ the guy has get, he'll spend 20,000 $ in bribing the bank employees.  ;)

I'm glad at least a couple people are interested in this story (of admittedly questionable validity).  The last person I mentioned this to at work said something to the effect of, "Gee.. f__king swell.  What are you? Handicapped?" 
*shrug*  I don't have to stoop to his level.  I've got real evildoers to bring to justice now.
