Right now!

Some adventures going dirt cheap, if that's your sort of thing. Buying them might be a pain, though, since Steam keeps throwing up errors when you try to browse the store.

LucasArts have a bunch of stuff reduced, while BTTF is 50% off for today only.

Well that, as they say, is that!

Steam sale is more or less over for another year. Last day was a little disappointing, being just a rehash of top sellers from previous days.

Stuff I bought:

Alpha Prime, Alpha Protocol, Amnesia - The Dark Descent, Batman - Arkham Asylum GOTY, Bully - Scholarship Edition, Clive Barker's Jericho, Culpa Innata, Dark Sector, Darksiders, Death Track Resurrection, Deus Ex GOTY, Deus Ex - Invisible War, Doom 3, Doom 3 - Resurrection of Evil, Oblivion GOTY, Exodus from the Earth, Fatale, GTA: San Andreas, Greed: Black Border, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Necrovision, Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Oddworld: Abe's Exodus, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, PAM: Post Apocolyptic Mayhem, Risen, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat, Sanctum, Second Sight, Star Wars: Starfighter, Stubbs the Zombie, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Torchlight, The Void, X3: Terran Conflict, Zombie Driver.

My rule for the week was that only offers below â,¬10 would be entertained (excluding combo pack offers), and I pretty much stuck to that. At least half of that list retailed for under â,¬5, and at least half of those retailed for under â,¬2.50!

Anybody else spend a...lot?

I went berserk this year, and I did exactly as you did: less than $10 or bust. I bought,

Anomaly: Warzone Earth
Beat Hazard + DLCs
Big Brain Wolf
Call Of Duty 4
Crazy Machines
Crazy Machines 1.5
Insaniquarium Deluxe
Left 4 Dead
Mafia II + DLCs
A buncha DLCs for Magicka, both for me and a friend
Another game I forgot the name, for the same friend
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Splinter Cell Double Agent
STALKER Clear Sky
The Tiny Bang Story

A friend was nice enough to give me Bit.Trip.Beat so I could get a 15th ticket and unlock another DLC. And on GOG.com I bought Fallout, Fallout 2 and Die By The Sword. I would have bought Sanitarium too but when I woke up Saturday the sale was over already. Oh, and I also bought Celestial Mechanica too.

For ~$125 I am nineteen games/DLCs richer.

My expectations are now totally skewed unfortunately. I wanted to buy Alpha Polaris but upon seeing the $20 price tag, I simply couldn't. Not so soon after the sale.

Unpossible!

I'm not buying any games this year because I realised I don't appreciate the ones I have.

I realise this will basically equate to me bankrupting myself in steam and gog's inevitable 'winter sales' come New Years Day.

I bought just The Whispered World - it's 11$ in the sale and I will be able to play the original German version (when I'll finally find some time for a new full-length adventure).

Otherwise, I neither had money nor the prices for the games were always attractive. I mean a lot  of these games I can buy in a box in a regular video games shop for half the price or less as they cost in a Steam Sale's Daily Deal. And that's without any discounts.

TRUE. ANGELIC CHARON IS DAH KING.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

I've almost stopped buying physical PC games, largely due to the crappy selection available to me. Dublin only has a handful of game shops in general, and the PC isn't really top of the pops in most cases.

Even PC World, where one would expect one's PC needs to be met, has a terrible selection of games.

Prices aren't the best, either. Almost everything I bought on Steam would have been more expensive (had it even been available) at retail; case in point, Zombie Driver on Steam: â,¬2.50. Zombie Driver in GAME: â,¬25.00. That's a tiny leap for a decimal point, but it's a substantial chunk of my wallet.

Having said that, I limit my Steam purchases purely to sale items (Steam has daily, mid-week, and weekend specials these days), as their new release prices are terribly inflated. Duke Nukem Forever, F.E.A.R 3, and Dungeon Siege III cost me substantially less as physical copies.

All those games and those low low prices, but as mr. Aloe Blacc said...I need a dollar, dollar, dollar that's what I need.  :(
I don't want the world, I just want your half
