Can I hear a sample with your singer? If he's anything like your guitarist I want to buy a CD right now! Don't change anything man! Your band is already perfect in it's own special way.

(I'm 100% serious about buying a CD if you'll let me. Send me a PM)

Sounds like somebody's a fan. 8)

Well, I think I'm going to have to take the advice of other people, and do some sound mastering with the recording. I've worked on some equalization and it really improves the sound. I also think that recording farther away from the instruments would give less 'clipping' in the recording.

Before I comment, yodaman11111, can you post a list of all the various hardware and software you're using at the moment.  Try to include everything, with extra details where possible.  That way I'll have a better understanding of your set up, and I'll try and help improve the sound.

Also, if you're going to take the recordings remotely serious, let me know how much of a budget you have for equipment, and which country you're in.

Maybe you'd like to buy my heavily slated "integration" album too that has little bass and little melody and lots of distortion.  :-\

Hammerite

i used to be indeceisive but now im not so sure!

Phemar

Geoffkhan did you do that with the same recording? Or did you make a different recording? The difference is amazing.

Steel Drummer

I think he made a new one. The guitar solo is changed too much. So is the piano, and the drums. But his is still awesome.

I guess people don't expect me to be the one to completely BS in a post. :-\

But I actually did try to master the song to improve its quality. And then I got carried away and added bass... and then started replacing instruments... and then pretty soon there was none of the original left. :P

Steel Drummer

Our band actually didn't have a bass player at the time, now we do, and we've made some more recordings, so I might try to master those and post what I've done on them.
