For those who don't know, I'm a die-hard Jason Voorhees fan(Until they made him all sissy-like in Freddy vs Jason), so you can imagine it's a great honor for me to be on the Friday the 13th fan art page.   

It's drawn with a mouse in flash, so it's nothing special. But it's there!

So, anybody else have a crush on horror movies from the 80's? Or do you find them just plain stupid? I know I still like 'em.

I think they're stupid... But most of us were 5-15 in the 80ies, so, any stupid film went directly to our brain cortex leaving an undeletable mark.

I love those films. specially the freddy and friday 13th ones... ^_^ Shocker had his time, too...

I love those films. I have got most of the Friday the 13th series on dvd. After that Nightmare on elms street. And then i'll get Halloween. Ive also got special limited edition The Evil Dead dvd. These films rock!!!

I grew up in the 80s, so 80s horror movies were, and are still great for me.
My favourites are definitely the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Friday the 13th, Halloween 1 & 2, and my all-time favourite, The Lost Boys.

Yes, but Ken Kirzinger played the role as Jason. They are trying to make Jason a sad character, kinda like The Phantom of the Opera. They should've totally gone for Kane Hodder.

As you can see, he lost alot of the "big mean killer" look in FvsJ.Ã, 

But, it didn't stop me from enjoying that movie too!


And what are you guys talking about? Jason X was hilarious! The scripters probably wanted to go for something new for the 10th movie, but I think they pushed it a bit far.

Jason X was...  ... er... crap... I guess.

But out of all of those 80's horror films with the oh-so identifiable antagonists, I'd have to say Chucky is my favorite.

Come on Rui, you had to know that movie was coming, especially with the way Bride of Chucky ended.

Chucky, much like Jason, Freddy, and possibly Michael Meyers, will always be.  I thought it was really the end of Freddy when Freddy's Dead came out when I was a kid, but then they came out with The New Nightmare a few years later.

I think even when the whole lot of us are all old and grey sitting in our rocking chairs, hitting each other with our canes and complaining about "kids these days, and how they have it so easy", there will always be Chucky, Freddy, and Jason.

Hyde - I didn't even SEE bride of Chucky. I enjoyed the 1st three films, so I declined to see the fourth. Was I right in doing it, or did I miss out on a good film?
