Monsieur OUXX

This is a microwave, DOTT-style.
Let me know what you think.

Overall, I really like it, but the drawing is a bit dirty in some places.

It looks very good, I think the wood on the left could use some more contrast, I think the whole inside of the microwave is very sloppy with the gradients and the hexagon pattern. Everything else looks very DOTT. Te stains could be a little more consistent.

I would ditch the gridding for the window and make the brown contrast brighter and shifted more towards red.  Aside from that I think you've done a fine job.

Yes, I've been changing it several times and I can't find the right balance (it's either too flat or catching the eye too much).
I'll shift it to red, that's a good idea.

The white-on-black gradient inside the window? :( It was a way to avoid having to draw the inside, while still having a little something concrete, so that anything inside the microwave doesn't look like it's "floating" on a black background.

You and ProgZ seem to share that opinion. what exactly looks sloppy? It was my favourite part :D

Consistent how? In color?

Looks good, you've captured the style well. One thing that caught my eye on a second look-over though is that the top dial doesn't look quite right because of the way the (nnnngh...) thin triangular bit goes across the shading of the bit underneath (hope that makes sense--if not I'll fire up paint).

Ok, I get you.

The only issue that bothers me is the handle on the window. I know this microwave is supposed to be weird shaped, but the handle seems like it should face more to the center of the screen instead of to the right.

Yes, I know I'm nit picking....not a big deal, but for me, it seems a bit out of place.

I'm nit picking, it still looks good.

Tabata

Sorry if I jump on this, too.
For me the handle is a bit strange not because of perspective but because of its existance.
The microwaves I know don't have them  :sealed:
(So I googled for images and found several with a handle, but they are still not that big in relation to the microwave)

This aside the microwave looks well to me. (nod)

Monsieur OUXX

Too late, the microwave is now locked :-D

(PS: Microwaves in the 80's used to look like tanks)

Think it looks really good, though there are some things that clash with the style imo.

The sam n max style is heavily stylized, and uses a limited palette, and while you captured it well in general, the grill and smooth reflection deviates quite heavily, and kinda makes it look like a photoshopped screenshot.

If you look at the handle, which looks nice, it uses about 4 colours, even though it has a wide value range, and could've contained hundreds.

The grill and reflection on the other hand use smooth gradients with plenty of colours, even though the value range is rather limited.

So in these cases you kinda have to treat it as pixel art, where you have your palette, and kinda pick whatever colour is closest to what you re going for.

It does look like Sam n Max now that I look at it, the colors are not as saturated as they would be in DOTT.
