Thats great ProgZMax.. people already told me there was something wrong with the eyes, I tried and tried but didn't managed to pull off better eyes.. well.. you did it..

Also the shading is something I am not very good at, I just looked at the paintovers of the other people here and tried to do it like them.. i will use your shadows too.. way better.. thanks a lot.

I will come up with a new version tonight!

You have obviously improved this sprite a lot, and it looks pretty darn good by now. But now I wonder, will you be able to animate this? And create new characters and backgrounds that match the style and perfection of this particular sprite?

Maybe you shouldn't go to crazy on detail and strive for ultimate perfection in every little detail, and instead find your own style in which you can produce new art relatively fast. There's really nothing wrong with your first version. In fact, it looks better than many AGS games I've played. And it probably matches the rest of you art better.

Of course everyone wants their game to look the best, but if you aim to high it will take forever to get things done. Something for you to think about perhaps, I don't know...

And please, please modify the cleavage to the way it was in your first version (remove the two top pixels), to make things look at least a little more natural.

Thanks Tomas, I thought about it too, but I'm convinced that if I just do some more hours of work a sprite i will be able to pull better sprites then i used to, i learned a lot from this topic..

about the cleavage.. i looked the word cleavage up in the translater to dutch and it said "splitup" as result.. now what do you mean by that? something with the hair?

Ok, after spending about half an hour perusing foxy ladies from the blaxploitation movies of the 70s, I found this!

Surprisingly, a real fox looks nothing like the sprite!

Intrigued, I continued my search, and made a startling discovery:

It would seem that real foxes are like snowflakes; no two are alike! I'm not just talking about the color, either. Look how flat they look in that last photo! It's almost as if God was experimenting with a new medium!

Now I'm not sure whether my Google Searches are just turning up fox porn, but I have yet to find any photos of a fox wearing any clothing at all! Actually, I couldn't find any standing poses. I guess the internet-surfing guy foxes have a real thing for the doggy style positions!

Looks like it's major rework time for you, DonB! (And all of us with paintovers, too. Man, we were all way off!)

Revan, very nice edit, really.. but I already experimented with the white thing on Roxy, didn't seemed to work out good, she keeps looking like a man because of the white "beard".. tho i really like your edit! Appreciated.. (altho she got the legs of tina turner over 10 yearsÃ,  )

Dont think I didnt googled for foxes too at the beginning, I did.. but:
It was the whole idea to make a more human-like fox standing on her feet and wearing cloths!! But i guess you are just joking around now.. I really aint gonna make her on 4 feet and completely naked you dirrty boy!Ã, 

You are right, Roxy doesnt look like a real fox if you compare her.. but I'm sure you will recognise a fox in it..

and if you dont; what about tasmanian devils, you think Taz.. the famous cartoon looks any bit on a real tasmanian devil? If you are curious google for a tasmanian devil.

The bit of white Revan added to her chest actually doesn't look bad, but the face just makes her look like she's got a five o'clock shadow.  I'd consider using the white on the chest, though.  She's starting to remind me of one of the Master of Furry Eric Schwartz's creations:
