It's the monitor I'm using here (way too dark) so i cant do good colors, thanks a lot.. its really helping..
Unfortunately I'm using an LCD, so I don't see much color either.Ã,  :P

Would be nice to see you warmed up then ;D
In that case I usually paintover a picture beyond recognitionÃ,  ;D

Ok, anatomy time!

AFTER:
- watch closely the crotch joint - her legs were too apart and the height of her pelvis unnaturally small - just moved the legs and repainted the crotch joint
- made the head look reasonably high (see the hair/head joining point)
- reshaped arms - gave her some elbows, etc.
- loosened the shoulders a bit

ROTATED:
- I wanted to try a slight contraposto, I think it's generally a good idea, but I think I didn't succeed making it as nice as your direct front view

Very nice! I also reaaaaaally like the rotated version, I could use this one as the down-left angle, if you dont mind.., with her head turned to the leftdown of course..

i really like the new head, shoulders, elbows and arms, good job!
Only about the legs, because of the much lower cross now it seems likes shes wearing a hiphop pants in stead of a tight pants (is it me being so egoistic or..?), i still like my old pants better.. but i will take the lower cross point in consideration and will try to make it a bit lower..

Anyways, good job Seaduck, you keep surprising me with your fine art..

Of course I don't mind! That's what paintovers are for.Ã,  ;) But I don't know if it will work, it is rotated by much less than 45 degrees..

Gee, thanks! I only started drawing quite recently, there's still so much to learn...

Corey

she's still missing hands... maybe you can give her wooden hand if here real hands got blow and burned by fireworks

They're called pockets, sometimes people put their hands in them!

Maybe, as Increator shows, a hint of shadow would help put her hands in her pockets

for InCreater:
Thanks a lot for already putting the shadows on this view, since i always have trouble putting up shadows, i think it looks very nice! You always seem to put up nice accents with those shadows.
And i also like the colors, I could use this colors when Roxy is outside at night for example..

for Corey:
LOL.. funny how you say it.. anyways.. doesnt old repaints like:

already have shadows to accenturate the pockets..
i did that after you made your point the first time..

MrColossal thanks for backing that up ;D

======================
Anyways, here's the newest version, with a mix of everyone here who suggested things or did a paintover:

Tomas

Looks nice. Perhaps adding a second skin tone for shading would look nice. I whipped up this quick edit to give you an idea. The arms looked kinda weird too so I also edited them just a bit (similar to seaduck's edit). The facial shading on my version looks crap but it should give you an idea at least.

big brother

As per request, here's an edit.
I may have gotten carried away and taken the sprite in a totally different style, but what the hell.

GULP. That's gorgeous, BB!Ã,  :D

Thanks, I already thought about this, will add it indeed..

bigbro
Hehe.. besides much respect i give you, i will try to make some of this superior influence go into my old character.. i will come up with a new edit later on today..

Corey

BB's version looks really fancy and much better... especialy because it looks like she's hiding her hands behind her back not like she works in the meat factory and cut her hands off

Jeez Corey..

are you stupid?
Notice the shadows at every paint on this thread by the pockets.. including bigbro's..
this is the third and last time i explained that to you..

Khris

Finally someone has the guts to ask him ;)

Corey, keep in mind that annoying people anonymously over the internet is now a crime. I was often really tempted to flame you because of the meaningless bs you tend to post in e.g. sprite jams. Just stop it.

esper

First time is a crit. Second time is an annoyance. Third time, and you're an idiot.

Okay, I made a new version, tell me what you think about it
..the version is based on all sugestions and paintover you guys made..

-Third shade
-Reshaped legs
-Reshaped arms and shoulders
-Reshaped hair
-Reshaped head (ears, nose, some kind of shade by the eyes which turned out to be quite foxy)
-Recolored pants
-Recolored shoes
-Reshaded Roxy

I think it's getting very close now..

I think you've really improved her now. The only thing I would change are her eyes. They could be more feminine. (Bigger pupils, eyelashes, etc.)

EDIT: The expression on her face looks a little too apathetic also, IMHO.

Hey that looks awesome big brother. I like how you changed the sprite's face to more a human face. It definitely makes the sprite attractive :)

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

Let's keep things civil here, people.

Your latest edit looks great, Don.  I made an edit with a few things you could do if you wanted, though I think your sprite looks good right now.

1.  I adjusted her shoulders up.  Slouchy shoulders don't look very feminine, and with her hands in her pockets they don't look natural.

2.  Made your shading more consistent.

3.  Made her ear more fox-like.  I looked at a reference image and foxes have rather large ears.

4.  Altered her eyes to make them more golden like the fox reference I looked at.

5.  Made her hands look like they were visibly going into the pockets by moving up the cuffs.

6.  Adjusted leg pose slightly.  I think the way she's standing is still a little strange but I didn't want to move away from your version.

great work.
