I'm working on adapting Ron Gilbert into pixel and was wondering what people think so far. I was imagining finishing the body in a BigHead-LittleBody style.

I wonder if the front view is too circular or not.

Any ideas on how to improve this would be appreciated.

OMG, who's that next to Ron?!?! Sooo jealous.  ;)
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Still here.

Evil

I've never met the guy, but I think this looks more like the image.

A few things. The hair height is different, and the beard doesn't follow up on the left. I didn't do a great job on the lips, but the side view looks weird.

Hahahaha! Awesome!

His pixel face still somehow looks too thin & toned ;)

I have just a few minor suggestions. I don't know what sort of limit you have on your palette, but I added an extra highlight skintone (featuring an admittedly lazy attempt at highlighting the right areas). I also browned up his hair, partially because those dark greys kind of washed him out, but mostly because his hair is dark brown.  I also gave the eyes a little bit more depth, and changed the shape of the nose and the lips in the sideview just a little. Just some ideas of where to go from where its at now without changing it very drastically!
