God Walk - New Front View

Ok, another try at God walking. Comments and criticisms please! Once I get the God walking animations done we are restarting work on Godquest/Creation!

EDIT: Arms moving front view. Something odd though.

Hate to say it, but I prefer the old walk animation. It's more gentle, there's a generally more celestial feel to it.

I don't like the way his nose sticks up, looks very strange, but the animation is great.

The old one really does look a lot better.  I love the way he blends in with the background, it really is perfect.  Sorry, but I've got to agree with everyone else here.

Hey, you know, the only thing that annoyed me in the first god version, was the fact that he haden't personality. I mean, he looked like if he was a statue, or something like that.

You tried to make a friendlier/funnier god, and I think that's good. But the problem is that he looks now like Bacchus, you know, the god of vine with crazy eyes and a red nose. Why not use this version for another character ? It's a good character, well animated and all.

Anyway, I think you should modify a bit the first god version : just open his eyes

Oh, I forgot : I have bad news.
I will go to the army from 14 july to 24 october. I will be back only on week-ends, but I think I will be motivated to work on it every saturday, after a week of pain.

Yeah, Dorcan is right here - Just modify the first version slightly, no need to do a new one. Open his eyes or add a more lively facial expression. He looks a bit like a sleepwalker right now.
Both versions look great, though - But the older one just fits better.

I think the earlier god matches better with the backgrounds, but the game can go with either one really.

Thanks for all the comments! I can see the old God is almost unanimously a hot favourite. However I liked the animation and colors of the new God better so I modified it to look like the old God a bit, less drunk and more 'Godly'.

Is God 1 still better than God 3?

But I think the lines should be smoother, and not black.
I tried to modify this one, so that it matches the background style:

What i like about old version: the simplicity of his face and closed eyes and some colors to pencil lines
What i like about new version: red blush and body

Oh, and i somehow prefer the rough pencil-look over smooth one. It looks more interesting.
