Backgrounds for AGS

Although I havnt actually even tried to learn AGS yet I understand how you import backgrounds into and whatnot so just for the hell of it I drew up a background of a forest even though Im not actually going to use it.

Ill post some more if I try drawing any more AGS backgrounds.
This was drawn for a 1024x768 screen.
Drew it in Flash CS4 and exported it
I dont have a problem with you using this forest one in anything if you want, I just dont really see why you'd want to because it would probably be inconsistant with everything else in your game

Well, this forum is supposed to be used for asking for feedback and criticism on AGS content rather than a showcase for artwork, so here's mine: I love this style. Have you considered posting a comment in the Offer Your Services thread, offering your talents as a background artist?

If you draw several backgrounds to that quality, repeat that with sprites and string together some code, you'll have a competent little demo game!

It is really nice, the perspective kinda bothers me on the two trees in the back on the far right, and the one on the left (not the one that's only slightly visible). Mostly with the fact that so much of under the treetop can be seen, while it's drawn nice, seems weird, plus the ones on the right look less detailed silhouette wise. All 3 trees mentioned look like they're leaning to the left while the other trees are up straight.

There, how's that on some light crticism.  ;D Don't get me wrong, it looks really nice overall.

The way the background trees are blue in colour suggests this is a high point, like a verge. If you want this point to look like it is right in the middle of a forest or wood, you need to make the background trees shades of green and denser.

That's my criticism but I really like the style. It's very functional :)

PS: love the background - only the angle of those shadows cast by
the trees freak me out somehow, however I can't figure
out why?!

I think it would be better to have the light source from behind the viewpoint. Or you would have to draw the sun between the trees or something to make the shadows look less 'freaky', as Tramponline put it.
