you can use any resources and sprites (and any style, but only in AGS)

Maniac Mansion Mania uses starter packs that contain the GUI, characters and a few rooms.
I guess that is what Danvzare is asking for, a template or game source so he doesn't have to start from scratch.

You can use any graphics from any game (SQ1-6, for ex) or draw something in MS Paint.

No sense to use graphics from old episodes.
