Beauties and Beasts
You must win a beauty pageant at ANY COST... this may get a little ugly.

I loved it! I voted and added a comment on the games page :)

Good little game, the graphics look very nice and the music is really funny.
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! :)
:-[ forgot to mention this one in the OROW thread.
I really like the premise of this game (says something about me, perhaps?;)) and with colourful graphics it's hard to not like.
Puzzles worked well, and I liked the ending a lot. Yay! ;D
I think was the best graphical-funnybutshort-game in the orow, but Is really that isn't a standard adventure and maybe is the reason that not win any of the first prizes.
Mashpotato, I'm nervous about your next projects!!

Need.. more.. coffee, now...
I loved this game, it was my OROW-favourite. Keep on keeping on!
i'm with neil on this one. it was definitely my OROW-favourite!
i love your stylized way of drawing girls, and recognised it immediately when i was playing through the OROW games.
thanks, really enjoyed it!
Thank you for the kind words!
Hehe, and yeah, I thought the art would make it pretty apparent who made it ;)
A very pretty and funny game (which stretched the idea of 'one room' to the limit via ingenious use of booths).
Some gamers want to live vicariously stealing cars and committing crimes, I just enjoy sabotaging and injuring beautiful people... and what the hell is wrong with that?
Looking forward to your next game!
-Ali.
Nice game, I enjoyed it. Very funny!
I've just fired it up when I had a few minutes to spare, and I've only got into the intro so far. I like the mainic feel of the first few minutes.
And... TELSTAR!!! Where did you dig that piece up from??
Looking forward to playing the rest.
Congrats, I loved it :) !
Can't wait for your next game!!
Good job , Marina... owned.
Thanks, all! Hehe, the Telestar song has always made me think of cheesy pageants and gameshows. Finally here came a chance to make that vision come to fruition! ;) To actually answer the question, I have a Ventures Greatest Hits CD :)

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
;)
Haha, this was very cute! A nice and deliciously evil little diversion. Art and puzzles were tops all around. Great work for one little week!
This was actually a nice surprise. One of the few AGS games I've thoroughly enjoyed and not felt frustrated playing. The art style was great and and the dialogue was funny. Throw some uplifting music in there and you've got yourself a game!* Why don't more people put uplifting music in their games these days?
edit: * that was positive criticism by the way, you did great!
Very short but very funny - nice one!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing :)

You can't get more peppy than The Ventures ;)
Hey MashPotato, I played through this yesterday and I really enjoyed it! The puzzles were great (meaning: I didn't have to look up any hints ;)) and your art style looks really cool when translated to low-res.
Spoiler
While I was playing, I thought some of the "solutions" were a bit harsh, but the ending made it totally okay. I really didn't see the ending coming, and it made my day. Really genius twist.
Although I have to say...
Spoiler
I hurt a little on the inside when I had to kill that goldfish.
;)
Thanks Ivy :)
About all the comments about the ending, I feel I have to say thank goodness for beta-testers ;)
Spoiler
I had the ending in mind as worked on the game through the week (the original idea had the player character as a bit mean, but not psychopathic... for example, the blonde's eyes would have been irritated by rubbing alcohol, and not permanently blinded. Things obviously changed as the week went by ;)). However, as the creator it seemed obvious to me that the player was insane, and I thought saying so explicitly at the end would wreck the joke. I asked Nickenstien about it and he thought it was a good ending, and suggested using a newspaper headline as the revealer. I liked the idea as it made it less explicit than if the narrator revealed it, ran with it, and added the sub-heading article about the pageant as further evidence that the player had a grossly distorted view of reality... and it seems that it's what people ended up liking the most! It just shows how having an outside perspective helps :)
Lovely little game Mash! Really enjoyed it, well done! :D I already told you that but didn't spot this thread until now. :)
What a crazy lil game! But it was pretty fun. I enjoyed it! Any chance we'll being seeing this insane mystery woman in another game?
Ah, just saw this! Thanks for playing guys, glad you liked it :D
As for a sequel... not for the foreseeable future, but who knows? ;)
Har har! Fun little crazy game!
Thanks!
;D that was a fun game
Yay, happy you liked it! :)
