Pretty much what the title says, upon creating a new game the only tab that opens is the start page, and i don't know how to open the Project tree or property grid, help would be very much appreciated :)

Crimson Wizard

Which version of AGS, please?
If it is 3.3 or higher, look if those panels are checked in the "Window" menu.
If they are and that did not work, there is a hardcore solution for this: go to "c:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\AGS\" and delete Layout.xml - that should reset layout to defaults.

MugMan

Both Explore Project and Properties are ticked under the window option, And i deleted the Layout.xml file, however neither show up :(

Crimson Wizard

Hmm, do you have dual monitor system?
Could you post a screenshot of your AGS Editor window?

MugMan

No, i'm not running a dual monitor setup, I'm not sure how to add an image to my post, sorry to be a bother.

Crimson Wizard

If you upload it to some image hosting, such as imgur.com, for example, you can then use the link and put it into post as "[ img ] link [/ img ]" (without spaces)

Also, please, can you tell which version of AGS are you using?

MugMan

I'm using the latest version of Ags, the issue was also present previously so i thought i needed to update, Here's the screen shot you asked for

This may or not be a dumb question, but did you delete Layout.xml while AGS was running? You need to close AGS, delete the file, and then restart AGS after. Just wanted to be sure, because I am running out of ideas unfortunately.

MugMan

Well i've got a bit of egg on my face! Closing ags then deleting Layout.xml did the ticket, you're a diamond mate :)

Crimson Wizard

Lol, good to know that worked. That was actually my fault to not explain in detail, such things are not always obvious.
