hi
i know ags isn't the best program to make this with but it is all i got
i want to make a game or more to the point a word and letter counter
that runs at the bottem of my screen while i do other things. i want a
person or something to run along the screen with a word count
is it posible

Not knowing the exact limitation of AGS, I can't say for sure. But it's likely possible.

I'd recommend looking at a different program, though. GameMaker could probably do it with less hassle, but then you'd probably have to learn some GML.

Are you talking about a program that silently runs in the Windows task bar while you work with other programs and it keeps counting every word you type in those programs? If so then I'd say you're out of luck. Better learn some C++ or maybe an easier language, such as Python.

the thing i want is a person or something that is holding a word counter
that walks on top of the taskbar and then when it hits one edge it turns
around and goes the other way. But i want to be abile to do stuff while
it runs.

Like Pablo said, something like this isn't possible using AGS.
AGS games always run in an opaque window or fullscreen, and they are paused while another program has the focus.
