UNGA needs MUMBA
an old school point and click adventure game with 10 playable rooms in a resolution of 320x240 pixels

STORY

UNGA is one of these ordinary stone-age hunters. He comes home from a hard hunting day with nothing but this small rat-like animal - not enough for his wife NONGA. She wants to eat mammoth meat. So UNGA has to hunt again.
A simple task? Can YOU help him?
It's not that easy...

Can these guys help UNGA?

Update 02/02/11

After long nights of hard work a lot of dialogs are written, some neat animations are finished and only one background is missing.
That means one step closer to the end result, but still a lot to do.

Update 07/04/11

I have finished the first play through version of the game. There are still three puzzels to work out the details.

Update 23/08/11

Nearly finished:
All puzzles are implemented.
All Backgrounds are done.
And with the help of CaptainD (thank you, old chap!) all the dialogues are written.

Looks great. I just love the big sprites and the clean room design! Looking forward to play it

Snake

I agree with all the above! This is looking great  ;D

[personal_gripe]Will you be fixing the resolution so it really IS 320x240? The font clearly shows it is in a higher resolution. Personally, hence the brackets, I hate it when people mix and match resolutions - it just ain't natural![/personal_gripe]
Grim: "You're making me want to quit smoking... stop it!;)"
miguel: "I second Grim, stop this nonsense! I love my cigarettes!"

Sslaxx

If that's what I think it is, heh, nice reference to Ice Age!
Stuart "Sslaxx" Moore.

Fitz

I really like the character design! And that's one hot prehistoric mama. That sexy unibrow...  ::)

Knoodn

Thank you for your nice words, guys.

@Snake: In fact the engine runs in a resolution of 640x480, but all the graphics are the same 320x240 resolution. Only the fonts are displayed in a higher res - just to make them more readable.

@Sslaxx: But in the end of this game the mammoth will die - if UNGA is successful. :(

@Fitz: There will be more hot prehistoric mamas! ;D

small update: finished one more puzzle chain last night, hooray!!

arj0n

Looks just awesome!

This looks so good, not a clue why there are only a few comments!

Matti

I thought I commented on this one, but obviously I didn't  ::)

I like the style too and I'm looking forward to playing this.

Sweet. This theme is criminally underused!

Indeed. I'm playing with the idea of a game in a stoneage setting myself for quite some time now, but I never got around to actually designing anything..

Kristof

Very funny characters, great style! :D I am waiting anxiously to hunt down that mammoth :)
