Ok people I don't usually condone spamming or shameless advertising, but this is a production worth watching! It's a trailer for a game called Enclosure made with AGI, and this movie is pretty cool.
The link is: http://home.deds.nl/~femo/premiere.htm
I hope the author/s don't mind for linking to this site, since it (hopefully) only promotes positive actions ie - awareness of the game... blah...blah...
The original site for the project, and others like it is: http://home.deds.nl/~femo/
Also when watching the movie, try to keep in mind that it is AGI, and is slightly more complicated than AGS (scripting/graphics wise)
That was actually quite well-done. I enjoyed watching it. There were little splices in the audio that were a bit annoying, but overall it definitely had that Hollywood thriller movie trailer feel. Thanks for the link.
Cool! It reminds me of 'The Thing'.

Yeehah! More The Netherlands good stuff!
Check out their Hall-of-fame! On the bottom you can see Johan Flemmix who is really mad in the head and a carnaval beast. He painted his house orange, wears always orange clothes, arranges alot of nonsense feasts and much much more!!! hehe...
For a trailer, I think it was pretty damn good! It's probably the first time ever I've felt I've wanted to play an AGI game, that's for sure.
I agree with Erwin, it does feel very much like The Thing, but with perhaps a little more commercial storyline. The music splices didn't bother me too much, I imagine they're spliced simply to fit with what's going on on screen.

True, but the trailer was made with Flash. I wouldn't be expecting half of the effects in the trailer to be in the full game, but I could be wrong.
Still, great stuff!
:)
Really awesome! Makes me really want to play that game :)
That was awesome.
Downloading now.
Wonderful!
I liked the trailer a lot. I agree with Mods on it actually maknig me want to play a game in that style.
What did I miss though. At the end, when the one guy is asking for proof durnig their seance? The lights go out and come back on. Was one of the people missing? I think something happened, and I missed it.
Plus the spelling error in the middle kinda bugged me. "Some came to proof ghosts don't exists." (or something)
In case you didn't notice, the game is finished and done...
http://home.deds.nl/~femo/download.html#enclosure
Wonderful game.
Very impressive trailer indeed. The only thing that bothered me a bit though was the "ripped" music, if I'm not mistaken it was taken from Sleepy Hollow.
The trailer does credit Danny Elfman for the music if that helps. I don't really mind, plus it suited the trailer.
Hehe, I've been playing the game a little and it seems very promising. The movie inspiration sources are very obvious though. Other than The Thing, the beginning and the main character and his girlfriend are very similiar to the couple in Hitchcock's Family Plot.
Someone was asking about horror in adventure games, right..?
;)
Sweet! I'll have to check this out.
That trailer looks great, it seems to sell the game with false pretenses though, with the music, AGI games can't have that quality (beeps).
but it looks like a game worth playing, although I tried it on my computer, and the intro works fine, but after the intro the game seems to only show every second line and flickering (where the helicopter you're controling is)
unless it's some kind of effect, I'm not sure if it will work properly on my PC, XP pro, I haven't tried to play any AGI games since getting XP, so I'm not sure if they do work, although it seems to be using NAGI which I've heard of but never used, is it an AGI emulator?
you're in a snow storm, that's the effect
try again and land the helicopter
it's a nice game
hehe thanks, it aint the snow rain plugin I'm used to seeing
That game is great. I love how you go into other peoples rooms and snoop about.
I played this game a while ago when they announced it, and I have to say it is one of my favourite games ever. It's up there along with SQ3, so thats how much I rate it... great story.
Superior trailer :o
Downloading the game ;D
Keep on the good work ;)
sweet, atacally raised my nerves a bit. nice atmosphere
playing now
-a chicken
Sorry if this is obvious, but is there any way to full-screen this baby?
Finished!...210 on score though.
nice story. good ending. HATE PARSER!
Dont you just press Alt+Enter to make it full screen?
That's the usual shortcut but it doesn't work with this game.
The only way I found was to edit the ini file.
Wonderful game!!!
it had a pretty good plot, and I just love AGI games! I am looking forward to their next releases.
Hey, I've played this game a little, and I need some help from someone who's farther in the game than me.
Here's what's happened:
Spoiler
1. Owen has invited me to the seance.
2. I've found the oil stains.
3. I have the rod.
4. William's having some type of in-depth conversation with Lisa, and tells me to look around and go to my room.
5. I have told Sarah about the seance.
What do I do next?
Spoiler
have u talked to everyone?
and explore the mary maybe there is a ladder that u didnt climb...
Hi,
I'm a member of Femo Duo Entertainment. I did the art-work & the programming of 'Enclosure'.
Well, I must say we were a bit overwhelmed & feel quite honoured when reading all these replies. It's nice to see a game gets appreciated! Thank you Krynge for this 'shameless advertising'. ;)
QuoteCool! It reminds me of 'The Thing'.
I got the inspiration for making a game taking place in the snow from a comic. But more people were comparing it with 'The Thing', so, just for fun, we put in several references to this movie. Alfred Hitchcock's Family Plot however, we never saw.
QuoteThe music splices didn't bother me too much, I imagine they're spliced simply to fit with what's going on on screen.

All true.
Once again, I'm glad you liked the game! For us amateur designers, compliments are currency. It's the only payment we can accept! :)
Okay, I've scouted around the forum and there are some pretty cool games to be found here. Going to play some of them now.
-Joker
Hey hey! Do you have another adventure game in development at the moment?
To Joker:
Yes we have quite a large community here on AGS - pretty cool people too!
I actually found the link to your trailer / game on the crowsnest awards site under the AGI category.
http://trumgottist.com/crowsnest/
Once again I must say the whole production rocks!
And just out of curiousity, how did you find your way to this thread???
Spoiler
Can't get the suitcase, if I'm supposed to use the pole I don't know what to type to do that
EDIT for the post below:
Prove with one "o" grammar nazi. ;)
"Some came to proof that it is haunted"
Proof = noun
Proove = verb
It should be "Some came to proove that it is haunted
Hi everyone.
Vel: No, not at the moment. But have you tried Hank's Quest: Victim of Society? This is another AGI-game & is downloadable at our site (http://home.deds.nl/~femo).
Krynge: We were getting a lot of hits (http://www.nedstatbasic.net/s?tab=1&link=4&id=1470540) coming from this site, so I checked it out. It took me a while to find this particular thread, but it was worth the effort. :)
Shbazjinkens: I'll PM you.
James_isaac: Thanks. Changed it.
I now have the same problem as shbaz...
james issac and joker, its actually "Prove" not two "o"s

Look around carefully for hidden paths
Spoiler
I'm looking for the suitcase.
I got the pick-axe, the fishing rod, the blood and the ashes.
I went outside and found my way to where the ice with the hole is.
I'm sure I have to do somthing with that hole in the rock but I can't figure out what. I tried using the axe, but it doesn't work.
Please, help!!!
Spoiler
I'm past where you are, and I didn't do anything with the hole in the rock yet. Maybe you could do something with that fishing rod and see if anyone wants to trade what you catch?
Spoiler
Ignore that rock for the time being, you're missing candles and looking for a photo right?
Spoiler
Try to get rid of a robot using another robot.
Spoiler
Try to get the toy mouse.
Spoiler
Go fishing in the hole outside until you get a fish...
I hope that's enough hint already... Oh that's for Blackbaron.
Below is for shbazjinkens.
Spoiler
You have to put something in the rock hole in the 3rd day, leave it be if you didn't reach that point.
Now I'm stuck here:
Spoiler
I want to get the glasses, anyone knows how can I get rid of teh ants?
I wasn't really stuck, just hadn't done that yet. Thanks anyway Gilbert.
Here's how you get the glasses:
Spoiler
Remember him talking about rubbing that fruit on his arm to feed the ants?
Spoiler
Write "rub fruit on body" and you'll be safe to pick up the glasses
Edit:
Woohoo! I've beaten it with 222/222!
Hilarious ending if you get all the points. ;D
Just beat the game. AMAZING. I loved it SOOO MUCH.
I also recieved full points. Definatley worth the time to go back and get all the points everyone ;)
Wow, I only got 208 or something when I played it. Care to spoil me with some points that you think are easily missed?
yea i ended up with 213... angering
do tell
Spoiler
Where's the key to the scooter?
Thanks!
You might forget to take a shower, those seemed like easy points to miss. And, spoiler:
Spoiler
If you gave the fish to the cat, but not the cook first.
Talking to people a lot is important, you should always talk until they start repeating the same thing over and over. After any significant events, it's important to talk to everyone again.
Yay I ended up with 220, guess one of the things I missed was taking a shower (if that takes 2 points then I only missed one thing, guess now...).
Hey, I haven't gone very far into it, but it appears to be a characters-based game.
Which is goodness.
No, I think you have the option to shower twice. You're supposed to do it before dressing every time you wake up. That's two points, I believe.
I can't get past it now! I'm done with the picture, and I think I'm supposed to get the insense, but how?
Spoiler
Incense? You never need to get that.
But somethings there that is, if you're at that point.
What did you mean by " I'm done with the picture"? I cant't recall where you're up to.
I seriously need a walkthrough
Spoiler
I've only got the fishing rod, talked to everyone, i'm stuck
.:Zor:.
Spoiler
Did you try walking out of the station?
This was a really excellent game. The designers should really be proud. It makes me want to do an agi game some day. A couple thoughts:
Like 5 days a Stranger, i loved how they used the passage of time and movement of characters to various rooms in order to involve the player and create tension. At the start of each day, I really wanted to go through every room and account for every character, to make sure everyone was still alive.
The story was really developed, it wasn't novel length, but long enough for the player to really feel involved. I really should have gotten actual work done today, but instead i finished this game. Maybe it's something about the horror, suspense genre. You don't have to have lot of wierd nonsensical puzzles to make a good game, just a good interactive story.
I could have done without the arcade sequence. It's nit-picky, but dying constantly just pisses me off. Maybe next time the player can opt out of the sequence like in pleurburg (sp?).
And something else story-wise. I really wanted the plot to be a bit more mysterious, or supernatural. The ending felt more "murder she wrote" or something. Don't get me wrong, i loved it, but that's just a personal critique.
Overall, great game, way to go! These kinda games really prove that there's a future in adventure games.
-Logan
I'd really appreciate it if somebody who got all the points would please upload a savegame from the end of the game (preferably after the sneaking part but before hitting the thing with the thing :))?
I really want to see the full ending, but I don't feel like going through the whole game again (especially not the arcade sequences) only to still end up a point or two short.
Thanks!
EDIT: Never mind, I found something about changing the value of offset 39 in the savegame file to DD, apparently that should give you full points, but I haven't tried it yet.
There's a different ending if you get full score to it?
Dang! I missed only 2 points.
/me plans to replay the game.
Holy poop!
I missed this thread (I was away at the time) and DAMN am I glad someone bumped it!
I started playing the game and it looks real nice, the only problem is that when I edit the INI file to make the game fullscreen, there's no audio and the graphics are distorted...
But, I guess I can just change my monitor's resolution to make it semi-fullscreen ;)
