Recently I've found myself thinking of an adventure game from the early-mid 1990s that I loved.  I can't remember the name, the publisher or much about it, but I do remember it was some kind of sci-fi thing.  If I remember correctly there were 3 monsters or mutants or something, but they were detectives or police..  I remember one was a vampire, and the guy could turn into mist.  I am probably wrong, but the name Psysomething has been coming to mind, like Psylocks or something, but I can't remember...

I have no idea why this game has been popping into my head lately, but its been driving me nuts not being able to think of the name..  Anyone remember this game?

Thanks,

Bill

Thats it!  Thanks so much!  I need to check it out, maybe I need to get a copy again or something.  Its odd how after so many years, something odd like this will just pop abck into your head.

Thanks again,

Bill

I remember playing one as a monkey trying to escape from a zoo. Anyone recall the name? I wanted to try to find it and show it to my nieces.

Are you thinking of Runaway? I had a demo (more of a tech demo I think) of that on one of these "Over 150 games" CDs. I still have the CD but I've never been able to find anything out about the full game. If its the one I'm thinking of the first puzzle was

Yeah that's the one. And I too had it on a Game Collection (I'm thinking it was 700 games), but I was never able to get it to work on my later computers (XP, maybe even 98). If it's the scratched CD, I'll try to find it online. If not, I'm gonna run it with DOSbox!

Thanks $1

I believe the full game was also called Monkey Run at one point.

Did they actually finish it? The readme wants $30 for the retail version (quite a bit compared to the other games on that disc) and contains the line "Your good ideas are welcome! We are flexible and free to decide for any additions", so I just assumed it folded. That and you can't search for point and click adventures called Runaway without finding Pendulo Studio's game.

So, who did the original? I can't even seem to find the demo.

A German group called "The Pixel Team". I'm pretty sure the 'Test version' that I have is shareware, so I've uploaded it here. Runs fine in DOSBox.
