( sorry if double posting )

Hello !!

I have been looking for a decent MI poster for months, I've just made one myself.
I found a hi-resolution picture of the cover on the internet, corrected it with the gimp ( erased the disgusting "Computer Minimal Requirement" sticker )

Then I sent it to a online photo developping company. I received it today, and it rocks :)

When I was seeking it, I went on this board, for information, so I guess everyone like me will come here one day, so : I SHARE

There is the picture i used to be the poster.

This is a picture of the final result, I received it today by postmail. I put it in a wooden frame. ( sorry for the flash light reflexion on it, it's under glass )

The final result is 50 cm * 70 cm  ( that does 19,7 x 27,55 inches )

For information, I added black up and down layers, because the proportion of the poster did'nt fit in the size asked by the photo developping website. If you plan to frame it, you should do the same, if not, just cut the white border of the final print.

Enjoy it ! I already enjoy mine :) The full story ( in french ) on my http://blog.regne.net

That's awesome! How much was it for the company to print it for you?

Also, I'm sorry, but I didn't understand the "black up and down layers" thing you explained about. What is that exactly?

--EDIT--
Heh, what an idiot I am. I get it now. I was thinking vertical lines running up and down the entire image... stupid Snake. Hardily hoo.

bling * fast answer*

15 euros each poster  ( + 6 for the post charges ) , but I ordered several things at the same time.
I did it with "PhotoBox" , on the main website, they are in all languages, I guess they are international.

For the layers, this is the black strips on the final poster , up, and down ( see the picture I've taken ), because the proportion of the computer picture didnt fit exactly in the poster size.

Lol fast edit snake :p

I did the very same thing, actually, although I didn't erase the stickers. I just took advantage of my then-school and their very fine printer to bring me some hi-res covers to frame and hang on my wall. Looks crazygood, even though the quality on your print seems to be better than mine. Oh well. Yay for homemade adventure game posters, anyways. :)

Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

no need to envy ! download the 1st picture of the post, and make it print by a photo studio ... That's all what I did.

Haha, that's awesome. Now I want to get one printed for myself too.

You do know there is a 6588 x 8280 version of that image available at Mojo Art?
I hope that was what you used to print your poster :)

Sorry if I didn't tell you this when you last asked, but I don't remember such a post :)

Looking good! Nice idea, and very smart in a frame!

Peter Bear

too bad zabnat, I've never found it before get one printed!
But the 1600*2011 looks okay at the size I made it print.

Maybe a bigger poster ( all the wall ) would require the higher resolution one.
Too bad they left the "computer requirments sticker" on it.

Thank you for the link btw

I'm rather nitpicking here, but that 6588*8280 version would be almost exactly 50cm * 70cm (55,78cm * 70,1cm) when printed at 300dpi which is pretty standard resolution for print :)

Yeah, that's rather shame there is that stupid requirements sticker in there. I could see the monkey island 2 as a nice poster if there wouldn't be that stupid sticker again...
