So I've been re-playing Black Dahlia for the millionth time (or rather, trying; since it's near impossible to get it to run well on newer machines) and I thought: would it be possible to do a remake of this game?
Could it work; are we allowed to (copyright issues)?

The game from 1998? Even before considering legal issues... How on earth would you do a remake of a full-motion video game with several actors, hi-resolution 3D backgrounds, all the make-up and costumes and stuff?

Make it a 2d game and draw backgrounds and sprites.
