The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

entry for MAGS January 2022

You and your team have just launched a new space telescope.
Everything goes according to plan... until the signal mysteriously cuts out.

Can you help re-establish the link and finish the work?

AGS Panel Review

"Short and scary game with at least one very good puzzle in it."

Good short MAGS game, worth playing for the weird ending and one extremely good puzzle.

Solid little game. I agree with previous comments about that one puzzle and I also liked the constant feeling of tension throughout the story.

An interesting story that starts with trying to reconnect to a space telescope before taking a turn into horror. The presentation is good, with the graphics and music fitting the tone well. Most of the puzzles are quite straight forward and feel quite guided (the game seems to prioritise story) though there is one particularly good puzzle near the end. Personally I'd have liked to see a slightly longer game with more build up to the reveal, but it's still a decent length for a MAGS game.

Really well-made little game that makes you want to find out about the wider universe it hints at. Some cool visual effects too.

This is a nice game about the ████ project, which none of you are supposed to know about.

I liked the art best. It never felt like there wasn't enough of it. I do also enjoy a bit of the ol' Ludwig van, but would have liked to control the volume.

A great mags entry! One of the puzzles is really good (I won't say which so I don't spoil it for others).
