The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

Sierra point and click style adventure game of a resurrected vampire slayer who goes searching in a haunted house for Dracula.

AGS Panel Review

"This game suffered a few walk behind issues, incomplete interactions and I don't know how far this demo was meant to take you. The graphics were fair but not great. The whole idea I thought was good but I did expect more from it. Overall it could have been a nice game but I was disappointed. For just his second game he did ok but no cigar. "

2 people commented on this game (newest first):

I've never been killed so many times in all my life :) it made me feel angry, nervous, frustrated, upset, and... couldn't stop playing it. I liked the graphics (quite simple and naive... so sweet....), the puzzles (difficult, but logical), and everything else. Can you make a longer one? I'd love it.

Though the graphics have a very amateur look to them, this is a surprisingly good game.

Unlike most AGS games, you can die in this one (BOY can you die!) so be sure to save often. Dying was rarely all that frustrating, though, and the death scenes are usually kind of interesting to watch.

There were a number of bugs in this one, though, that allowed you to access room that should not be accessible (these were rarely a real problem) and a couple of instances where you could actually get stuck. And then there's the buggy ability to sort of resurect. On the whole, though, the critical bugs weren't much of a problem since I was saving so often and was just able to go back to the last room.

Overall, not great, but not bad for the type of game that it was (horror, with a lot of chance of death, that is). Worth playing for the freshness of the death scenes abscent from most AGS games, if nothing else.
