The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A surreal and creepy little point and click game.

You are Lou. You've recently moved to Lisbon, in Portugal, to take up a new job and start a new life. Within days of arriving, you meet an enchanting woman, Catarina, at a bar on a night out. After a few hours of getting along swimmingly, you agree to meet her the next day in her favourite park.

You arrive at the stunning park on a beautiful sunny day, with high hopes. Lou soon finds the atmosphere is a little off... it's not going to be an average date.

Features:
- A cast of several characters
- Language confusion - Lou does not speak Portuguese.
- 20+ screens to explore
- A short, narrative experience, with puzzles as well. I think it will take between 30 minutes and an hour to complete. Maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less, depending on the player
- Twists and turns - shocking moments! (there's a horror element to the game)
- 90s style digitised graphics and animated sprites
- 640 x 400 resolution
- Real world location to explore- Tapada das Necessidades in Lisbon, Portugal
- 2 click interface, with inventory etc

AGS Panel Review

"The photographic backgrounds and ambient sounds make you feel like you are strolling through the park yourself. Once every scene is explored, this gets a bit repetitive because the puzzles mostly rely on walking around. However, the good writing and amazing atmosphere make up for that."

shaun9991's game is one of the best AGS adventures.

One of the very few set in Lisbon and where the photorealistic style works really well, in the tradition of Riddle of Master Lu. The story is emotional in different ways, and builds up nicely. A wonderful pastime for around half an hour.

I did a bit of clueless wondering around at first but once things got going I thought it was very well done. Would recommend.

To think about it, this short game is probably the best adventure I have played in 2014. Excellent!

A beautiful game, surrounded by nature and the sounds of nature, it is very captivating, and the mysteries surrounding the date, very good!

A quite interesting game that does get stranger as it goes along.

An elusive date in the park changes into something else... I enjoyed this, the digitalised graphics are pretty nice and reaching the end you feel immersed in the game.
