The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"Confusing, grotesque and atmospheric dark interactive movie. The production values are very basic and the gameplay consists of making choices within a quickly unfolding narrative."

7 people commented on this game (newest first):

There are interesting ideas in this game but I feel the execution was a bit sloppy (i.e. little interaction). Some clever storytelling choices make up for it, but I still didn't "feel" it.

Awesome game. I really liked the feel and the atmosphere of it, especially the music. The simplicity of the graphics do not take anything away, and the abstract story really gets you involved. All the bizarre options and choices gives this game high replay value.

Is this game funny? Yes. Is it sad? Yes. Is it violent? Yes. Is it a great game? No. Is it a fantastic game? Yes.

I honestly think there's no answer to any question related to this game. I think it's a masterpiece of trickery and impression, and i wonder if it was intended. You see that the graphics are mediocre, but how sure can you be, that this wasn't intended? Everything plays a big role in this game, and I believe i got the story right. You definitely have to play this, it will make you go through an emotional journey like no other game will.

It was a real joy to play.

I'm very impressed... Wonderfully abstract and artistic.

This game is a journey and I enjoyed every step of it. It's honest, it's very clever, and it challenges the player in many new ways that we are not yet used to. Consider me a fan. Well done!

This is a game that everyone can play and have fun. It's short and easy and cool. Graphics are unique and simple and awesome. in one word it's awesome.

"The unfolding spider", or "Spidey's unfolding adventure", as aficionados like to call it, is a complex psychological murder love mystery crime adventure, presented through elegantely designed rhizomatic gameplay. It involved too much juvenile delinquency style comic violence for me, but there are lots of grotesque and even some genuinely touching moments that make up for that. To sum it up: a very immersive narrative experience which oh no I am running out of complicated latin loanwords.

A strange game. Interesting gameplay, but lacking punch in my opinion.
