The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

The Captain has damaged his ship's engine, and now the Engineer won't repair it. It's up to you, a lowly Ensign, to reactivate the Auto Pilot and get everything moving again.

Winner of the April 2009 MAGS competition.

AGS Panel Review

"Shows a lot of promise but the gameplay consists of more than a few tedious pixel hunts or illogical/strange solutions."

7 people commented on this game (newest first):

A rather delightful little MAGS game, about an Ensign that needs to fix a broken down spaceship (clue in the title)

It is visually nice, with creative puzzles, and a big and bouncy videotape ;)

The items around can be scanned with a scanner too which gives pretty funny descriptions.

Great little short game, puzzles quite easy

Funny little game, apart from the lack of music i think the game's quite a gem. Oh well, it put a smile in MY face, I'm sure that counts for something..

Short but nice game. I've read the database messages for all objects because they were fun.

Great game, I really enjoyed it. Cats and cheese? I don't know about that... :)

Very nice MAGS entry.

A solid and short game.

There are a lot of things that show the effort the designer put in it: well thought text-responses for every interaction, nice choice for sounds effects, catchy characters, etc. (a minor complain: probably puzzles are bit too simple).

It is remarkable expecially if you think it was done in under a month for a MAGS competition.

Play it!
